Active Engagement and Integration Project PDF Print E-mail
The Active Engagement and Integration Project is the first overseas project from S.U.C.C.E.S.S. It supports the settlement, adaptation and integration of skilled workers, members of the family class, and live-in caregivers from South Korea and Taiwan into Canadian Society. The project includes pre-departure services such as group orientation, tailor-made workshops, and active engagement case management. Client resources include: a support line, referrals, a resource centre, and a virtual resource centre.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. delivers pre-departure services in Seoul, South Korea and Taipei, Taiwan to skilled workers, members of the family class and live-in caregivers with group orientation as the core service, supported by tailor-made workshops and Active Engagement Case Management. After attending the pre-departure orientation, clients will be linked to specific workshops with topics including labour market employment information, foreign credential recognition, health & medical services, and education & training to upgrade employment skills. For clients encountering specific challenges, the Integration Counsellors will provide individual counseling through face-to-face meetings and follow up with e-mail, telephone, or video-conferencing. Depending on the needs identified, clients can also be referred to appropriate programs or services through which they will acquire necessary information that will enhance their ability to integrate into the Canadian community.
